The Center for Survivors is proud to offer a variety of groups and workshops as a way to hold space for survivors, gather in community, and explore healing. Please see below for more information about our current groups and workshops.
Conversations in Color
9/12/23-12/5/23 on Tuesdays 1:00-2:30PM
A gathering place for Survivors of Color to experience community, support, and connection. Open to survivors of color & co-survivors of color who are students, faculty/staff, or community members.
Special In-Person Healing Through Yoga
Tuesdays October 3rd, November 7th & December 5th from 3pm-4pm
Join us for an in-person session of our trauma informed yoga practice, centered around promoting healing and wellness. The class is open to students, faculty, staff and community members. All levels of practice welcome.
1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 12 via Zoom.
Drop-in support group focused on building community and fostering connections among fellow survivors. Open to survivors who are students, faculty/staff, or community members.

Sept 6- April 17th
Wednesdays at 2:30-4:00 pm
This year long group is focused on skill building to manage dissociation and trauma responses. Join us to learn new ways of understanding your experience and to connect with others. Open to survivors who are students, faculty/staff, or community members.
Healing Through Yoga
Thursdays 3pm-4pm
September 14th - December 7th
Join us for a virtual, drop-in, trauma sensitive yoga class that highlights choice, presence and awareness. This class is open to survivors & co-survivors who are students, faculty/staff, or community members. All levels of practice welcome.
Ear Acupuncture
1-2pm on the 2nd Friday of each month
Ear acupuncture involves the gentle placement of up to five small, sterilized disposable needles into specific sites on each ear. The recipients sit quietly in a group setting for 30-45 minutes allowing the treatment to take effect. Benefits of Ear Acupuncture include: reduce cravings for alcohol and drugs, minimize withdrawal symptoms, increase calmness, better sleep, and relief from stress and emotional trauma.
Open to survivors who are students or faculty/staff.
These groups and workshops have begun and are no longer accepting new participants. If interested in attending something similar in the future, please reach out to the contact person associated with each group/workshop.

Wednesdays 1-3pm
This series of art workshops offers a space for survivors for healing and self-expression through art. Each week will feature a guided art activity and supplies. No prior training or art experience needed. Open to MSU student survivors.

Healing can come in many different forms, including movement! Healing can come in many different forms, including movement. Join our dance group to learn a dance with an opportunity to perform live & in-person! No dance experience is required.
