About Operation Freefall
On April 28, 2008, thousands of people will Take a Two-Mile High Stand Against Sexual Assault™. At dozens of sky dive facilities (“drop zones”) across the country, they'll take to the sky and jump. It's all part of Operation Freefall™, the boldest, highest-altitude and most daring event organized to put an end to sexual assault. By raising funds for Speaking Out About Rape, Inc. (SOAR™) and local anti-sexual violence organizations across the country Operation Freefall™ will help:
- Extend efforts to provide prevention, recovery, and prosecution information to tens of millions of people, including your community, each year.
- Expand SOAR’s programs to educate lawmakers, police officers, students and the media about sexual assault.
- Enhance local services for survivors of sexual violence.
Michigan State University’s Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention (SACI) Team and their allies will be engaging in this daring fund-raiser and awareness activity! MSU’s drop zone will be at Napoleon Skydiving Center in Napoleon, Michigan - approximately 50 miles south of Lansing. Please take a moment to visit SACI Operation Freefall Websites and share with others who may want to support this amazing effort!
